From viewing the venue in August 2021 following our engagement June 2021 to celebrating our wonderful day we have been supported and well looked after by all who works at Citation.
On the day the staff, especially Ethan and Gloria greeted us and took full responsibility of our day. Our friends and family were blown away with the beauty of the building both internally in the decoration and externally of the architecture, plus the ideal location especially for our 30 guests who travelled from down South.
We had the best day of our lives, and this could not of been possible with the care and attention to detail of the staff at Citation!
We were so impressed with everything about the venue. The staff were amazing, from Pauline taking care of all the preparations and keeping us informed in the run up to the wedding to the rest of the staff – they were great on the day itself making sure everything ran smoothly.
Our guests were all very impressed with the venue and how great it looked.

We couldn’t be happier with how our wedding day at Citation went. All of the staff went above and beyond for us and our guests, and we were made to feel incredibly comfortable asking for things, both on the day and in advance. Nothing ever seemed an inconvenience – even popping in on random days during the planning process to check things.
Citations in house decor is unreal and saved us the additional job of sourcing a company to come in and add the finishing touches – from the candelabras to all of the fairy lights, to the Chivari chairs and choice of colour sashes to drape over – everything was just perfect.
The generous size of the building and the heated balcony meant that, despite pretty much constant rain on the day, we still managed to get beautiful pictures in lots of different areas. If we could do it all over again, we wouldn’t change a single thing! I couldn’t recommend Citation and the staff more to anyone considering wedding venues.

The one thing our gala dinners, award ceremonies and celebrations have in common is that the building always breaks the ice. Dating back to 1844 and nestled within the grandeur of the Merchant City, the rich history of Citation contributes to its boastful vibrance and rusticity.
Our Graduation Ball was amazing! Citation was the perfect venue and seeing it all done up was amazing. The staff were absolutely brilliant with us all too. Thank you to all of them for their hospitality.

We recently held our staff day at Citation and couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
The Events team were great to work with both on the lead up to and during the event. I was especially thankful for them accommodating last minute changes on the lead up to and on the day with no problem at all.
The team worked with us to ensure the layout worked our event format and even came up with some great suggestions, bringing their experience and knowledge of event management to the fore.
Our staff were very impressed with the venue and commented on how lovely and bright the room was. They even loved the extra touches like the room being split to allow catering to be served away from their desks and the use of the balcony, especially since we lucked out on such a beautiful, sunny day.
I can’t thank the staff enough and would definitely use the venue in the future.

Communication was always prompt, you took our ideas and put them into place.Citation was the ideal venue, it was elegantly decorated creating a warm atmosphere. The vast space is split over two floors allowing guests to move around, socialise and dance. The dancefloor was great entertainment for our live band.
We were able to host approx. 160 guests, and couldn’t have done a better job without the help of the team at Citation that night, they went above and beyond to ensure our guests were kept happy and everything was running smoothly.
The team were extremely friendly and easy to approach, particularly Gloria – she was a star!
Claire and the Citation team helped seamlessly plan an amazing event in record time amidst many changes and complexities that were presented and were professional, flexible and helpful at every step. Our event was incredibly high profile and demanded alot of specific tech and brand requirements but Claire always found us the right person to deliver on every ask.
On the night of the event, despite many changes, the team executed on every level and delivered a beautiful event and we are thankful for working with such a great team. Great food, atmosphere, service and location – all around winner!
I wanted to say a massive thank Claire to you and the team for helping me plan, organise and run our works night out in Feb. The feedback I have had from my staff has been nothing short of amazing, with compliments to the bar staff for being friendly, helpful and very quick when serving at the bar. The Venue was beautiful on the night and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.
I would like to personally thank Claire for always being available prior to the event helping to ensure the event was a massive success and on the night the bar managers both were excellent, always on hand if I had any queries. Thank you so much for having us and we are already looking forward to coming back next year for our Christmas night out.
We recently booked Citation for two events – one a work party and the other an industry event.
The Citation team were great to work with and were very accommodating with our specific requests. The staff on the night were lovely – the perfect mix of friendly and professional.
Many of our guests commented on how nice the space was and the canapes were top notch!
Citation hosted an incredible social night for our conference attendees. Prior to the event Sophie and Claire thought of every detail that would enable the event to run smoothly. In the days leading up to the event and on the night the team went above and beyond to accommodate our last minute changes and needs. On the night the manager, bar staff and bouncers handled everything for us so all the organizers and the guests could relax even though we had a full-house of almost 600 people.
So many people came up to me on the night to compliment how great the venue was, so beautiful and with spaces to accommodate them no matter if they felt like a deep conversation in a quiet corner or jumping up and down on the dance floor! We really couldn’t have been happier!
What a fantastic venue for a team offsite. Impressive exterior, creative interior and super helpful staff on hand to help with any technical and catering needs.
The food was great, the layout and setup was perfect and the bonus of having the whole place to ourselves gave us enough space to move around the different areas which greatly reduced meeting fatigue. Book Citation for your next team offsite, you won’t regret it and your team will thank you for it!
We contacted Citation to host a large scale corporate event within a private venue. The service we received was second to none with all aspects of our event handled professionally throughout from the moment we first made contact.
The events we have held at the Citation have been fantastically well catered for with friendly and accommodating staff within a wonderful venue. Our guests have all appreciated the great service and attention to detail.
